One hour. One-to-one. Bring whatever you're wrestling with.
A focused session to help you get unstuck, make a decision or see your work with fresh eyes.
You might bring a documentary idea, treatment, rough cut, photography project, YouTube channel, portfolio or creative business question. We can look at story and structure, characters, interviews, filming approach, audience, positioning, pricing or where to take the work next.
You'll send me a little context beforehand so we can spend the session getting straight into the useful stuff.

Three months to move something meaningful forward.
For filmmakers, photographers and storytellers who want more than a one-off conversation.
Across three months, we'll meet for two hours each month. You might be developing your first documentary, building a body of work, moving from commercial work towards more human storytelling, from photography to film, or trying to build a creative business that actually supports the work you want to make. The sessions are shaped around you.
This isn't a course with a fixed curriculum. It's experienced creative guidance applied to the work you're actually doing.

I know how difficult it can be to find your way into film - or to imagine building something of your own - when you don't have the contacts, confidence or money to get started.
So I set aside a small number of free one-to-one Story Lab Sessions for young people who wouldn't otherwise have access to this kind of support.
Whether you're trying to break into filmmaking, develop an idea or take the first steps towards starting a business, come with your questions, ambitions and half-formed plans. We'll work out where you might go next.
